No Code is very VERY capable.

We've been big fans of No Code development methods, over the past 10 years. We're focussed on using the XPOR No Code Platform and wanted to share our experiences, working on a very significant development project over the past 18 months. This will be of particular interest / relevance to Entrepreneurs, Business Analysts, Product Owners and any level of management that is considering its strategic approach to online software services.

Let's start by clarifying the difference between Software Development and Software Coding.

  • If you use a No Code platform (XPOR) YOU can DEVELOP your own online software Service.
  • If you don't use No Code, you will need to employ, instruct and manage a Software Coder to build your Development for you.

In todays world there several routes to enabling an organisation with a software service. The obvious one is to employ a software coder to build it.

#1 Software Coding

This approach has a few benefits but mostly the drawbacks are too much of a barrier. The principal benefit is ownership. You can argue that, you paid for the work, so you own it (though copyright ownership is simply not very clear about that!). In any case, this benefit is significantly outweighed by the drawbacks - Cost, Time, Control, Support, Agility, Effort and Resource.

#2 Licenced Software

The second and most popular is to buy access and use third party services. Until recently these would all be downloaded and installed on the users PC or network. Lately, this option is about buying access to software running on the the providers servers (cloud!). The main benefits of this option are cost and ease of deployment. The drawbacks are third party reliance, inability to develop and contract tie-ins.

#3 No Code DIY

The third, latest option is to DEVELOP It Yourself, using a No Code Platform. DIY your own software service, hosted / running from your own server / cloud, using a No Code platform. The main benefits of this option are cost, ownership, differentiation and agility. The drawbacks are time to build and ... well that's just about it, given the extensive capabilities of No Code platforms.

Let's take a look at what can be done with a capable No Code platform ...

No Code Example - Recruitment Management

After an intensive 18 month effort, without writing a scrap of code, I developed an end-to-end recruitment management system. From Importing legacy data, building sales prospecting CRM, to putting staff on site, time sheeting, payslips and invoicing ... and everything in between.

And I didn't write a single line of code to do it. Instead, I just did a good job of Business Analysis;

1. Gathered the business Requirements

2. Designed a System Model

3. Built forms

4. Built Automations (Including AI and APIs)

5. Imported legacy data (millions of records)

6. Built the website / pages to enable secure access (local / remote)

The whole thing built using the No Code Platform (XPOR).

And this thing is complicated. For example, it is fully integrated with the clients website. People registering for recruitment, prospective clients registering new Jobs are created with accounts, fully enabled to control their ongoing involvement. Jobs, temporary and permanent, are fully managed, including Job Board activity (two-way via API), Candidate interviews, Candidate selections, Candidate Timesheets, Client Approvals, variable Rewards, Consultant Approvals and even Pay and Bill (API). On top of this the system is provided AI for Candidate processing and Consultant CV analysis. All Activity is logged and all Communications are logged, with call back prompting. The system even has VOIP integration, to prompt Consultants for calls. And ... the whole end-to-end process of expert recruitment consultant driven online service for Candidates, Recruiters and Consultants.

This new service is now entirely under the control of the Client, who can add new features, edit processes, change API services without any need for third party assistance etc. Total Control.

And is being used by 6 Consultancies already.

If you do one thing this year (2026), to give your business or organisation the advantage, download a No Code platform, like XPOR, and give it a go.
