Best practice in Water Efficiency Projects
UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR), a key client of ours, provides both off and online services for its members. One recent project, completed by webree, provides access to an online database of project information concerning water efficiency drives. The system is open to any specialist or interested party to join and research.
The original system was developed by WRc. It provides a centralized resource of knowledge concerning a subject that addresses the efficient use of water in all areas, domestic, industrial, production, transportation etc.. Webree were instructed to upgrade the original database and incorporate it into the UKWIR design.
Following a brief marketing effort, the service has now engaged hundreds of experts and interested parties to both browse the archive and even contribute their own information. In fact the system is now attracting global interest, from countries where this subject is a pressing matter.
A large number of account applications have been made, from consultants, to members of water companies, to students. Anyone can apply for an account on the site. Simply go to http://www.water-saving.org/ and click the link to register.
You can then fill in your details. Your account will be activated by an administrator, and you will be emailed with your log in details. You will then have full access to the site
There are currently 102 searchable projects on the site, with further projects being assessed . UKWIR encourages the widest possible use of the database and the sharing of knowledge concerning these projects. Newly submitted projects go through a review process, conducted by water experts at WRc, to ensure all content is suitable for the database.
To view the projects, simply click Browse Projects to view all projects on the system, or Search Projects for more defined results.
