Service Development using NoCode XPOR

Published on: 03/02/2022

As all of our colleagues and Clients know, webree has committed 100% to NoCode platform XPOR.  Amongst the development community there is a lot of scepticism that NoCode is a practical, or even realistic, approach to developing significant and secure services for today's applications.

But then they would pour scorn because it is their role in the development of software services that will be replaced by NoCode systems.

It is persistent change, driven by human endeavour, that powers digital transformation.  For example, back in the 90’s the word processor and pc revolutionised how business communications were handled (some of us can remember the Typing Pool!)!  For those who can’t remember the 90's (too young – or too old!) - the executive (usually a man) would write out a letter and hand it to a typist (usually a woman), who would type it on letterhead for the executive to proof and sign.

Does that have any parallels with a client / Analyst / business owner drafting out a spec (of some form) and handing it to a software authoring team / person?  Of course it does.

Back in the 90’s it was necessary to have those two people to generate the letter – until it wasn’t!

Likewise, now in the 2020’s, you no longer need a software author to get your application built.

NoCode is revolutionising how applications are created and managed.

For example, we have just handed over a new Project and Report Management system for our key client, UKWIR. Developing this service was fun and fast, including user-friendly, rigorous interface design, clever logic cases, secure access control and - well all the usual stuff for building a fool proof software service.

Even if we say so ourselves, the outcome is good.  And the outcome is more satisfying than you can imagine because all that creative energy that the business case owner has is now released on the actual development of the service, not trying to “guide” a coding team.  Use a NoCode platform and become a true "Product Owner".
